An Inguinal Endometriosis without Any Other Pelvic Endometriosis Mimicking Direct Inguinal Hernia: A Case Report

Inguinal endometriosis is a rare disease. Patients with inguinal usually exhibit cyclic pain change in the size of mass. It more often found on right side and commonly accompanies concomitant lesions pelvic organs or peritoneum. We report case without any usual characteristics. A 48-year-old non-severe dysmenorrhea presented left mass, palpable only when standing. Under impression direct hernia, laparoscopic herniorrhaphy was performed. Intraoperative findings revealed no other lesion organ abdominal cavity, histopathologic confirmed it endometriosis. Thorough inspection excision cavity are crucial for treatment. Therefore, an appropriate surgical plan following accurate preoperative diagnosis important. If intraoperative evaluation not enough, postoperative gynecologic assessment strongly recommended.
